Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of the Board
Sven has been CEO and Chairman of the Board at Serrala since 2012. In his role, he transformed the company into a global B2B payments player by anticipating future market trends, restructuring the organization and implementing a new business model.
Sven strengthened Serrala’s global footprint significantly. Under his guidance, the privately held company opened new offices worldwide including a major footprint in North America. Sven’s expertise in software and services, together with his entrepreneurial background laid the foundation to develop and extend the product portfolio. The company’s unique capabilities now provide holistic end-to-end solutions and consulting services for process automation covering the entire financial value chain.
Having started as a banking professional and IT specialist, Sven joined Serrala in 1995. In the following years, he held various positions within the company, including Software Developer, Solution Architect as well as several senior expert roles as consultant. In 2001, he was appointed to the executive board.
Chief Domestic Sales Officer
Stephan is responsible for developing and executing the sales and go-to-market strategy in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH). In his role, he particularly focuses on maintaining and expanding Serrala’s strong customer base in the German speaking region.
Based on his expertise in software and services, Stephan has built trustful and long-term client relationships. He successfully guides Serrala’s large client base, which has grown over decades, into the next generation of financial payments technology, always with the intent of creating additional value for them.
Prior to joining Serrala, Stephan was Sales Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at Pulsion Medical Systems AG. He has also worked for international companies such as Hewlett Packard and Philips. Stephan holds a degree in medical engineering.
Chief Operating Officer
Christoph leads the operationalization of the corporate strategy through growth and transformational initiatives. In his role, he is responsible for customer success, solution success, marketing, strategic projects, M&A and integration.
Christoph has an extensive track record in international development and implementation of corporate growth strategies. At Serrala, he shaped the operational excellence to extend the significant company growth and executed against it through organic initiatives, selective M&A transactions and the integration of newly acquired companies into the group.
Prior to joining Serrala in 2016, he worked at the top management consultancy McKinsey & Company and for Waterland Private Equity. Christoph holds a BSc in Business Administration and a MSc in Management from ESCP Europe Business School.
Chief Services Officer
Stefan is responsible for Serrala’s services offering which includes Implementation Services (Consulting), Managed Automation and Customer Support. Within the Implementation Services department, he oversees the delivery of customer consulting work across all global practices and solutions areas.
In his position, Stefan focuses on delivery excellence and harmonizing the global outreach of Serrala’s services. Further to that, Stefan lays the operational foundation to enable Serrala to scale in scope of the company’s strong continued growth.
Stefan has extensive experience in corporate strategy and IT leadership. Prior to joining Serrala, he has served as CSO and board member at Allgeier Enterprise Services AG and as CIO / COO and board member at INFO AG (now QSC AG). Stefan holds a degree in Business Informatics.
Floris van Heijst
Chief Sales Officer
Floris is responsible for the global sales organization, providing leadership, direction, and an executive vision to ensure alignment with the financial and strategic goals of Serrala to drive global expansion.
With his strong expertise in both, software and cloud services sales, including defining and executing go-to-market strategies, building sales teams and developing strategic partnerships, Floris will further accelerate Serrala’s continued growth and deliver relevant and actionable insights to our clients to help them build competitive advantages.
Floris worked at Microsoft for 12 years, as the COO in India and Switzerland and as a General Manager in Germany, responsible for selling cloud and software solutions to the largest customer segment, both direct and together with the commercial partner channels. Other stations include Country Manager for Peoplesoft as well as Country Manager at Sybase (now SAP) in Switzerland, and Sales Manager in Germany and the Netherlands. He joins Serrala from LEANmade, a Swiss-based company providing Compliance-as-a-Service
Chief Technology Officer
Constantin is responsible for the global product development including product management, engineering and quality assurance. He defines the technological strategy and innovation roadmap of the entire Serrala product and solution portfolio.
With his background in ERPs, cloud strategies and agile environments, Constantin understands the challenges companies face while increasing their level of automation and digitization. At Serrala, he builds future-proof products and drives the integration of new as well as the evolution of existing solutions to anticipate customer’s needs and requirements to move their finance functions into the digital age.
Constantin has extensive experience in project and process management, strategy and leadership. Prior to joining Serrala in 2020, he worked at one of the leading global ERP providers, Sage, leading the native cloud payroll portfolio in a global function. Constantin holds a master degree in Bioinformatics from Eberhard-Karls-Universitaet Tuebingen, Germany.
Chief Financial Officer
Dirk manages Serrala’s financial operations as well as all commercial areas of the company like HR, IT, Legal and Administration. In his role, Dirk is responsible for all finance-related processes including accounting, financial planning & analysis, and takes care of the legal entity footprint of the group.
Based on his extensive commercial management experience, Dirk successfully established and standardized financial and operational processes within existing as well as newly acquired companies.
Dirk has held various management positions and joined from travel agent Alltours, where he served as CFO. Dirk holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Cologne.
SVP Technology and Products
Areas of responsibility: Product Management, Strategy, Development and Innovation
Vishal Awasthi helps to set the technological direction of the Serrala Group. He leads the management of several key product areas and the product development in North America.
Vishal Awasthi specializes in the full lifecycle of software product development for both on-premise and cloud based enterprise business and content management solutions. He has held various leadership positions in the business application software industry for more than 20 years.
Prior to his current position, he was the CTO at Dolphin, a company acquired by Serrala in 2017. In that role he carried full P&L responsibilities, helped build and manage product management teams and successful technology partnerships. Vishal Awasthi holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and a MS/MBA in Industrial Engineering and Management.
