Business need

Business need

Founded in 1975, CTDI is a global leader in the communications, mobility, and consumer devices service industries. The company provides innovative supply chain solutions, device repair and refurbishment services, and testing technology to major telecom operators, cable companies, and OEMs worldwide.

With facilities in more than 100 locations across 22 countries, the full-service engineering, repair, and logistics company faced multiple challenges navigating its global payments and cash visibility ecosystem.

Over time, the limitations of the company’s decentralized treasury structure became more apparent as it expanded into new markets in Europe. Each local entity still executed payments manually, which resulted in limited control over the global working capital as well as operational inefficiencies in liquidity management. On top of that, treasury teams had to manually upload payment files to different external banking software, leading to additional workloads and slower processing times.

Ready to centralize its worldwide treasury operations and eliminate manual payments, CTDI sought a powerful automation solution backed by strong implementation support.

Solution implemented

Solution implemented

CTDI chose Serrala as an implementation partner primarily due to our long-standing expertise in payment automation and treasury optimization. The introduction of FS² Payments and Cash Visibility marked a transition toward standardized, automated, and SAP‑integrated financial processes across the entire CTDI Europe Group.

The solution offered a centralized view and control over all incoming and outgoing payments, cash flows, as well as finance and account data. Especially, the quick access to historical data proved highly useful for daily operations, as it ensured clear traceability of editing changes and approval of workflows. Through its customizable interface, key users directly tailored the solution to the operational needs of the business within its preferred ERP system.

The ongoing support and training provided by Serrala were highlighted as another key contributor to the project’s success. During the implementation process, it quickly became clear that several internal payment workflows required fundamental restructuring and streamlining to fully unlock the solution’s full potential. To effectively support the resulting process changes, extensive training was delivered to all relevant key users.

With Serrala’s hands-on support, CTDI implemented a group-wide change management initiative and standardized its payment execution and cash visibility processes. Since go-live, the company has continuously adapted the solution to reflect changes in the Group’s organizational structure, evolving legal requirements such as VOP and ISO, and new functional needs related to payments, cash flow, and forecasting. Supported by Serrala’s Consulting and Product teams, CTDI is now equipped to manage these adaptations independently.
